Young Songwriter Now on Broadway!
13 year old Austin McKinnis is a two-time AMTC competitor. This first time he came, Austin did well and landed a contract with Shirley Grant Management for acting. His only regret is that he did not sing, so he came back. Austin wowed the judges and beat out a great array of talented singer/ songwriters to win Overall Singer/Songwriter and 21 callbacks. His Dad, John, took Austin to NY shortly after AMTC to look at agencies. One of the agents, John Shea, at Frontier Booking, sent Austin on a casting call & Austin booked a role on Broadway in a show called, ‘The Story of My Life.’ Credit: Zenworks Productions
