August 2010 UPDATE

Taylor was cast in the movie Ryann Watters and the King’s Sword. Set in the quaint town of Mount Dora, Florida, Ryann Watters, the hero of the adventure, and his best friends, Liddy and Terrell, are challenged to a quest to find the King’s Sword hidden somewhere inside the beautiful world of Aeliana which they believe they have the only outside access to. Unfortunately, something dark and evil has also entered Aeliana and they find they have entered a world of spiritual warfare and fantasy, where the real and unreal converge, good and evil clash, and only one can emerge victorious.

I dentified as a gifted student at an early age, Taylor Boswell was already a decorated public speaker by the age of 13. A once-tomboy from Bowling Green, Kentucky, Taylor was captain of the boy’s basketball team(!) at her school—until she met and signed with Nise’ Davies of Advantage Models & Talent, who led her to AMTC. Soon Taylor’s athletic ambitions gave way to her true passion for acting.

After winning the Winter 2009 AMTC Overall Best Actress award, Taylor signed with Shirley Grant Management of New York. She has appeared three times on One Life to Live and filmed for NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. She has also appeared in several Teen Nick promos and is currently the clear face model for Epiduo skin care. One of the most exciting bookings lately was working on a digital short for Saturday Night Live. In her first feature film Windjammers, Taylor landed the lead role and spent the entire summer in the Bahamas filming and learning to sail. She has her second movie lined up for this summer, filming in Florida. Even though acting and modeling have kept her more than busy, she maintains a 4.0 GPA. Upon high school graduation, she hopes to attend Vanderbilt University Law School. She plans on pursuing a career in acting and politics. Taylor says, “God put this mountain in front of me and I am going to climb it. I draw my strength from Him.”

Since winning the Winter 2009 AMTC Overall Best Actress award, Taylor Boswell’s life has changed dramatically. Immediately following her win at AMTC, Taylor packed her bags and moved to New York City where she signed with esteemed Shirley Grant Management. A triple threat at the competition, Taylor is an actress, model, and singer who knows how to keep her priorities in line and is committed to honoring God in all that she does

In her first year alone, Taylor has booked several national and global print ads and television commercials. She was the lead actress in an industrial film for Amgen, has appeared three times on “One Life to Live” and recently was filmed for the upcoming NBC Celebrity Apprentice. She is currently featured in a Nickelodeon promotional television commercial.

Taylor has been presented with many opportunities in the past year; however, the most fulfilling was shooting her first full length feature film, Windjammers. Taylor landed the lead role shortly after signing with Shirley Grant and spent the entire summer in the Bahamas filming the movie and learning to sail.

Taylor Boswell has never been a typical teenager. While most 14 yr old girls are discovering make-up and high heels, this tomboy from Bowling Green Kentucky was captain of the boys’ basketball team at her school. While acting has always been a passion and a gift, modeling had never been considered. That is until Nise’ Davies of Advantage Models & Talent in Franklin, TN got a hold of her.

“She always wore her hair pulled up and just never considered herself model material, but underneath her tomboy exterior I knew this girl was more than just a great actress.”

After going through the Advantage Modeling Class and competing at the prestigious AMTC (Acting, Modeling & Talent Competition), Nise’ was proved right. Taylor made the finals with her TV Commercial and Monologue. She was runner up for overall model and won Best Actor in her category as well as taking home the Grand Award for Best Overall Actress! All in all Taylor received 22 callbacks from national and international agents and casting directors who are interested in representing her in larger markets for modeling and acting. The agents include: Trump Model Management, Avenue One and World Top, Inc. Tokyo, MC2 Model Management Miami, Elite Model Mgmt. (Chicago), New York Model Mgmt, LA Models, Discover Management, Rage Models & Talent, Frontier Booking, Herman & Lipson Casting, Generation Model Management, More Zap Productions, Osbrink Agency LA, Tyler Perry Studios, to name a few and Taylor was even scouted by Nickelodeon to audition for an upcoming TV role!!

Taylor has realized just how powerful her faith coupled with some hard work can be. She attributes her success thus far to God and her willingness to be used by Him in this industry. She feels He has a purpose in all of her success so far and she will continue to seek his will in order to reach others for him. Taylor said, “I am so blessed to be able to live out my dream of being an actress while knowing that this is God’s will for my life.” Taylor says the things she will miss the most about Bowling Green is leaving her family, friends, and her school.

While Taylor will miss playing competitive sports such as basketball and softball, she is anxious to get settled in New York and start working in the entertainment industry. She credits much of her advancement thus far to her experiences at AMTC. “Competing at AMTC was a great experience for me. All of my hard work and preparation leading up to the event was well worth the effort. I have made some great lifelong friends, as well as some awesome contacts in the entertainment industry. Paul tells us in Galations 6:9 , “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” I will not give up!
