There was never a time in his young life when Matthew did not strive to perform in front of an audience. He began modeling at six months, and was working in print, runway, and dancing by age two. His AMTC Director, Janet Kyle, said, “Matthew was always destined for success. He had the talent and desire, and a great mother that would do what he needed to make it happen.” A workaholic, Matthew stayed busy as a model. Any free time he had was spent honing his sports skills in soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, swimming and football.

Always determined to cultivate new hobbies and interests, Matthew pursued more extreme sports such a skateboarding and rock climbing. In sunny California, he’s been able to engage in surfing, wakeboarding and barefoot water-skiing. He continues to practice dancing as well, with tap, jazz, hip-hop, break dancing and even ballet. Interested in all aspects of the performing arts, Matthew has been a member of the Theatre For A Difference Theatre Group and taught at Rose Alley Theatre, a children’s (ages 6-10) theatre program in Venice.
