Hi guys! OK, you probably know I’ve been focusing on film work this past year as an actor and I have just finished filming a pilot. It’s a drama called Last Stop with Tom Nowicki as the central character, a family therapist. I of course play his client (along with Bob Scott – for those who know him). This is a show specifically designed to be family-friendly while still confronting real issues head-on.

You may know that the media world is changing rapidly with the advent of facebook. A lot of the work for a show to be picked up happens before the pilot is even submitted. Please take a second and go to www.laststop.tv. You can sign up as a fan – no mail will come to your house, no money begging, no spam. Just add your name to the list for updates on the production and the series. And those of you facebookers out there, please “friend” Last Stop as well! I am not on facebook and the idea of “friend” as a verb is utterly mystifying to me…

That’s it: just join the gang already excited about this production. I attached some snaps from the set – we just finished shooting yesterday!

Previous Bio
Erin competed in eight events during the Summer 2009 convention. She performed in both talent showcases and was a finalist for Overall Singer and Overall Actor, and won Overall Model in her category. (For the record, she considers herself “un-model-like.”) Prior to AMTC, Erin had been solely a theatre actor for 15 years. She even took a leave from a contract to attend AMTC.

Erin signed with Brevard Talent Group in Orlando, and joined The Wallis Agency (L.A.) in December. She hasn’t set foot on the stage this year, but has been on a wild ride of film. In ten months, she has shot five commercials, an industrial, two short films (The Five Stages and If Only) and her first indie feature, The Whisper Home. The film is nearly complete and the hope is for major distribution. She also recently shot an episode of The Glades as “Monica Gentry”; it premieres on A&E in July.

Most recently, she has been cast in her first SAG film, The Pastor, which shoots this summer.

Her longest running roles to date have been that of mommy to daughters Monroe (7) and McKinley (6) and wife to Brian (who refuses to give his age). God has been blessing her on this new faith-walk, and she anticipates that this is only the beginning…

March 2010 UPDATE

Hello, wonderful women!

The Whisper Home was an incredible experience and a gift from God. Please pray for God’s will in this – 3500 theatres with this message would be a such a powerful testimony.

The Whisper Home (www.thewhisperhome.com) is a modern retelling of the prodigal son. It is very honest and raw in the places that are necessary – we know not how great grace is until we know the fullness of our sin, yes? I am very proud of this piece and I recognize God’s blessing on it.

You will be sure to receive a copy once final edits are finished! I begin rehearsals at Orlando Rep for a play very soon. It’ll feel wonderful to work with a live audience again!

I’ll be singing tonight for the AMTC search in Orlando. It’s my pleasure! I’ve been glad to have reported to the family.

January 2010 UPDATE

Hello dear ladies and Happy New Year!

This is Erin Beute ~ AMTC Grad of summer 2009 (Orlando Direct). I know your time is precious with the new convention just days away, but I need only a minute to let you know the news!

I have recently signed with Kristene Wallis of The Wallis Agency, L.A. This is wonderful news in itself, but there is more… I have just been cast in my first feature film here in Orlando!

It is called The Whisper Home , its website is www.thewhisperhome.com. It is a film in the order of Fireproof and Facing the Giants – a modern retelling of the prodigal son. It is slated for theatrical exhibition in late 2010. I play Rebecca, the older son’s wife.

I thought that perhaps this might be good inertia to begin this next convention, although I know there are many AMTC successes to celebrate since summer. Please keep us in your prayers as you are in ours. Have a wonderful convention!

December 2009 Update

Signed with the Kristine Wallis. Erin just booked another commercial with her agent in FL.

November 2009 Update
Erin began shooting her first film a few weeks ago called If Only and she is currently working on another one. If Only is a festival film that will be released this spring. It centers on Jill and Clark, and their love that is torn by his career as a professional thief. Erin’s next film is a comic short that will be a teaser for festivals across the country.
