  Austin Crute was handpicked by the New York Film Academy (NYFA) to receive a scholarship to their four-week Acting High School summer program at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Austin auditioned for the NYFA during SHINE in Orlando.

Austin Crute was born and raised in the Metro Atlanta area. His gift of music and performing came to him at an early age. He took piano lessons at the age of 3, and has what he calls a “collision of purpose and passion that drives me to be the best.” He appears as a typical teenager, but his discipline on and off the stage remains vital to him.

Austin found his major break when he was selected from among 40,000 contestant to appear on the Hub original reality show Majors and Minors. He appears alongside fellow AMTC grad Brandon Michael.

Austin keeps a tight regimen of dance, singing, rapping and acting rehearsals, and hopes to show young entertainers that you can be the best and not compromise your values, or who you are. “Being yourself is the best creative expression you can give the world,” he says.
