Ashlyne will be joining Jordin Sparks’ first headlining tour starting June 28th! She recently had a CD signing at a Wal-Mart in the Nashville area. She will be stopping at Wal-Marts all over the country while she’s on the road with Jordin Sparks this summer. Be on the look out!

Liquid Digital Media will present Ashlyne during the 2010 Awards Dinner Finale on Monday, May 17. Hailing from Los Angeles by way of Nashville, Ashlyne Huff is an engaging new performer on the contemporary music scene, with a vocal prowess and gift for songwriting you usually only find in veteran artists. Signed to Liquid Digital Media, Huff will release her self-titled debut album on April 27. She co-wrote every song on the record and the result is a stellar Pop effort that showcases her flair for storytelling.

Remember the movie 10 Things I Hate About You? Well, I had the pleasure of writing a song with THE Kay Hanley (she sang “I Want You To Want Me” and “Cruel To Be Kind” in the movie!!) Her sweet husband Michael, who was also in Letters To Cleo with Kay, produced the demo of our new song “Can’t Stop Crying”. I LOVE MY JOB!

She won’t say she’s the next big thing. She won’t say she’s the answer to the music industry. She won’t say that her music is the best thing ever. That’s your decision. The singer-songwriter Ashlyne Huff is finally entering the scene—not as Dann Huff’s “daddy’s girl” anymore.

“I didn’t come from scarcity. No small town, no poverty, no deaths, no divorces, and no tragedies. I was the luckiest kid in the world with the best parents. Never would have thought I wanted something bad to happen to me…just so I could have something to write about. But that’s me. Goofy huh?”

Most of her life, Ashlyne Huff has been referred to as Dann’s daughter, which is fine with her. As an infant, she used to take her naps in the not-so-silent rock sessions in Los Angeles with her dad’s 80s rock band…

Ms. Arban,

I just thought you should know, you have yet another success story from way back in early 2004. My name is Ashlyne Huff, and I came from Nashville with Nise’ Davies at Advantage. I signed a record deal with Anderson Merchandising (who just put out the AC/DC Wal-mart Exclusive and did the same kind of exclusives with Garth Brooks, The Eagles, and Journey) to do a pop/rock album. Since I graduated from high school in 2004, I went on to college at Belmont University and got my degree in Music Business. I finished school a little early, and got this record shortly thereafter. (Of course, it’s a little more complicated than that, but I don’t want bore you with details). I started songwriting in college, and I just got a song that I wrote cut on the latest Pussycat Dolls album: Doll Domination. The song is the last on the record called “I’m Done”. Anyway, I know it’s been quite a few years, but I really did enjoy your convention. At that point, I didn’t know what I wanted to do—dance or sing—now I do both for a living. Here is a short EPK of sorts to visually show what I’m all about now. Take care!
