REAL LIFE STORIES:

AMTC is a Journey

< BACK TO REAL LIFE STORIES

Our family experience with AMTC was definitely a journey. Lily began the journey cooperative, then hesitant and uncooperative for a few months and then everything began to click. Her confidence picked up. She started speaking up at class plays and really took an interest in the Children’s Theater class she was taking. Her 3-year-old sister also participated in all the practice sessions at home and probably would have qualified for her commercial, she was so animated. My husband and I were still a little skeptical all the way up until we arrived at the event. We worked as a team to keep Lily motivated and having fun. The seminars were really enlightening with a lot of valuable information. We all made some great friends who we are keeping up with. Halfway through the event, my husband stated that we needed to do it again next year.

The training given by Carolina Talent is only the beginning. To truly succeed, you really need to take supplemental classes. Don’t be disappointed if your first time at AMTC doesn’t result in a contract because the experience in itself is invaluable. We as Lily’s parents have learned more about the type of training our daughter should have and Lily has already grown from the experience. Lily starts back up with her classes at the Children’s Theater and we utilize our video camera to help her see how she performs so she can improve. The agents and teachers stress that the training is never over if you want to succeed.

My only regret is that I didn’t attend the last valuable seminar “Where do I go from here?” which could have answered a lot of questions which I now face regarding conversations I’ve had with agents and managers.

Thank you Carolina Talent for giving Lily the opportunity.

Sincerely,

Jane Childrey
