Singing Backup for Chaka Khan

Hi Carey !

Just wanted to let you know that the Chaka Khan concert was unbelievable! Emily ended up singing back-up for the entire set (10 songs) and sang one solo! She got to meet Chaka Khan, who was standing backstage with me listening to her sing!!!! She had her manager get all of our information, address, phone numbers, etc ! Unreal experience! I have attached a couple of pics of Emily performing for you !!! I can’t believe how old she looks and she is still only 10 !!! She got a standing ovation after she sang her solo and at the end of the concert when Stephani introduced her again! Also, we just made a deal with “The Platters” for Emily to perform at the Indiana University Auditorium with them on March 4th, 2006 AND she is recording a new CD with a new manager, 2 original songs and 2 cover tunes. This guy is amazing and works so well with her and he likes our style of music, more jazz and blues sound! Anyway, enjoy the pics ! Take care and stay in touch !

Hi Carey !

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know about Emily’s most recent adventures! She is performing at the Jazz Fest in Cincinnati next weekend (Sunday the 21st )and was invited to perform at the private reception for the corporate sponsors of the event on the 18th! Fanatasia (from American Idol) is going to be there too and the producers are going to get them together ! Em is more excited about meeting & singing with her then performing! And to top it all off, there is going to be a write up about Emily in our local newspaper on the 21st of August ! You will be able to access the article on the online edition of the newspaper too, so I will let you know when it’s available ~
Lola Blank in L.A. really wanted me to try to bring Emily out to her this summer, but finances did not permit us to go, but things are starting to happen here for her now, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.. Is it okay in the interview if Emily says some things about MLI? She so loved the experience and all of you and tells all her friends about it !
