Chelsea Matson

Hey Mandy,

I want to thank you for introducing Chelsea to AMTC. When she told us she wanted to go we knew she didn’t have the experience in performance situations compared to participants who have been performing for years. But we didn’t want to minimize her interest in trying. So we took the chance that this would be a good experience for her, and it was.

The workshops were excellent… The leaders were realistic but encouraging to participants to work hard to pursue their dreams and to see AMTC as a step in that process. Many workshop leaders were very personal, sharing their own ups and downs on the road to success, showing their humanity and expressing that agents are human, too! Several of the leaders shared their faith in God and accepting spiritual guidance in pursuing one’s purpose. I was very impressed.

The competitions were very fun…the leaders tried to give an atmosphere of just doing your best, not comparing yourself to others and having fun…[being] less nervous with each competition…

One of my favorite parts was the emphasis the leaders put on children respecting and thanking their parents for investing so much in the week and in helping their children pursue their dreams. I got more hugs and “thank you’s” from Chelsea last week than I have received in months. AMTC really focuses on having your priorities straight in the arena of fame and fortune…

When it came to speed networking and call backs, the participants were well prepared, if they were listening, to know the do’s and don’ts of talking to agents. I was very proud of Chelsea for stepping outside of her comfort zone and marketing herself at the speed networking and call backs. It was a super growing experience for her. And the agent representation from all over was very impressive. As one workshop leader said, “This week is like being in your own little New York…”

AMTC was a busy, fun week. Did Chelsea walk away with any contracts? No. Did she walk away with more knowledge, more self-awareness, new goals, and positive interactions with agents that could lead to future work? Yes. Was it worth every penny? Yes!

Again thank you for your part in this wonderful experience that is furthering Chelsea’s growth as a well-rounded person.

Sincerely,
Karen Matson
