Hey Allie!

Just wanted to send you a quick update on Madeline. I think it could be inspirational for other AMTC contestants and their parents…..

We went to AMTC in January 2010 with lots of questions. We left with tons of information, an invaluable experience for Madeline, age 6, and a resolve that if this was going to be something for her, God would work it out so that the rest of our family would not be sacrificed. Madeline has 3 other siblings that we want to make sure never feel left our or overshadowed. We had also resolved that aside from food and gas money, this would not interfere with our families financial goals.

At AMTC, Madeline did not receive any callbacks. I have to be honest, I was somewhat relieved! The whole thing was a bit overwhelming and I was having a hard time figuring out how we were going to make this work. We did attend speed networking and visited with 6 agencies within a 4 hour driving distance to Knoxville. Within a week of being home we were contacted by 2 of them. We interviewed with one in Atlanta and Madeline was offered representation. We decided after much prayer that we weren’t ready to travel back and forth yet. During the Spring Madeline was able to have private acting lessons with a local accomplished actress (for FREE!!!!). She auditioned for a part in a local play that she was not cast for. We decided to take a break.

About a month ago, during our family prayer time, Madeline prayed for more auditions and opportunities. Here is what HE has done!

We submitted Madeline for the Photo Shoot with Alex Martinez in Atlanta and she was invited to that. We went for that June 26th and had an amazing time!

She auditioned the 3rd week of June for a part in a new faith based movie that should hit theaters toward the end of 2011. She received a callback and has been awarded a speaking part! We begin filming at the end of July and will wrap in September. Because of the early stages of this production, I can’t offer any more info than that.

God knows the desires of our heart. He knew what we were willing to do to make this work, and what our boundaries are. And He provided all these opportunities within those boundaries! We are so excited to see where this all will lead. To parents who have the same questions and reservations that we had… let HIM handle it! It will all work out!
