May 2008, Update from Blake:
Hello Carey,

This is Blake from The Wallis Agency. I hope you remember me. I just wanted to give you an update on my career and other info. I just finished filming for the TNT micro series called “Lucky Chance”, where I play the role of Skinny, the bar owner. It was an amazing shoot. I am in 3 episodes. It will be airing this July on TNT. I hope you can catch it. I also did the “The Tonight Show”, did several comedy sketches. That was a lot of fun. I also recently booked a job that Rosalinda Morales and Marcia Weissman casted for. It is for Green Earth Technologies. It is very funny. I had a blast.

Blake Everett is originally from Virginia. According to Blake, “When I was 4 years old, I saw the movie that would change my life forever: “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein”. I knew from that day to this that entertaining people was the life I was destined to live. I performed the Abbott and Costello routines on stage for years, but it wasn’t until I competed in the AMTC competition in July of 2003 that I was finally able to start living my dream. I love to act and I also love to help other actors. I am able to combine those two facets of my “dream”, since I now have the great fortune of actually working for Kristene Wallis of The Wallis Agency. At Kristene’s invitation, I moved to Los Angeles on Jan. 5th of 2004 and became one of her clients. I have booked a number of short films and commercials, the latest being a spot for the Belgian Lottery. (See? Now I’m “international”!) I also managed to make myself indispensable (that’s what Kristene calls me) in her office and now run the commercial division, where I help other actors on a daily basis. Life is good.” Blake is an inspiration.

Remember Caleb Pearson? I signed him up from the AMTC in Jan. 2007. Well, he is doing very well. I got him on “The Spike Fiersten Show” doing a comedy sketch. He was taft hartlied for that for AFTRA. He also recently got taft hartlied for his first SAG job, a commercial for Capri Sun. He is a chia pet in that one. It is a national commercial. I am very proud of him. In fact, he is working with me on a new project that I have started out here. It is called “So You Want to be an Actor?”. My plan is to take this across the country and to help people learn how to get into the business. The AMTC is a part of my show, so I will be discussing this for people to learn about it. Your program is a big part of my story and success. I am forever grateful for being discovered at the AMTC. I would love to come back to the AMTC as an agent again. I had so much fun and it was such a pleasure to meet and see all those wonderful people who are trying to make their dreams come true. My program is to teach people on how to prepare for their career in Hollywood. It is a seminar/workshop. I teach them on how to find agents, how to audition, the tools they need (ie: headshots, resumes, classes, etc.), about being a child and a stage parent in this business, and I provide them with the info on how to get the resources on finding jobs, places to live, info about agencies, managers, etc.. I will be having a 3rd show in June at my church The Morning Star. By the way, yes I am a Christian. In fact, this is funny, I represent my pastor’s son. He is wonderful.

Well, I don’t want to take up anymore time, but I thought you would like to know how things are going. My best to everyone and I look forward to hearing from you. Perhaps, on the next convention you might bring me back? Please. No begging involved, but if it helps I will! :)

God Bless,
Sincerely,
Blake Clark
