Baileigh West

January 15, 2008, Update from Baileigh’s mom, Jamie:

I just wanted to keep you up to date on my daughter, Baileigh West, since leaving the AMTC convention in January of 2007. After leaving Orlando and coming home, we talked to several of your agents and agreed to go to Los Angeles and meet with Cindy Osbrink. We signed a contract with her. The very next day Baileigh was sent to her first audition with Mattel for a commercial. She was hired and filmed the commercial at her call back. I was so shocked! We stayed in L.A. for 2 and a half months and went on numerous auditions for film, commercials, voice-over, and print. Right before leaving she filmed a Juicy Juice Harvest Surprise commercial. It is on the air right now. I did not think that two commercials in two months was bad. We were so excited! She had a great time, and we are scheduled to go back to L.A. in July. I am hoping to make a trip to New York and talk to the agents there, fairly soon. This would not be possible for us without all of your help and exposure. We love the video that is being featured on your website, and can not believe that it is the most watched. We thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless you!

It was such an honor to have met you and your family through the AMTC conference. We had such an amazing experience. My husband and I felt very comfortable with allowing our daughter to be connected with such a well respected and Christian atmosphere. Every person that we were in contact with, whether it was the contestants and their families or it was the staff or VIPs, each were extreamly nice and very helpful. We learned a lot from the seminars and workshops that were provided and feel that we know much more about this industry now. When we decided to pursue this with Baileigh we were not really looking at this as a competition- mostly a way for Baieligh to be seen and for us to meet people. Of course, when she did do well in the competition, it helped us make a more concrete decision to pursue this avenue to the next step.
