Having participated as a panelist or speaker at most of the major conferences in the music industry, AMTC is by far one of the most well put together events I have seen. It’s also refreshing to have been a part of something whose founders and staff hold such high regard for ethics and morals. I hope to be a part of many more AMTC events and have told many of my collegues about such a wonderful and legitimate conference.

I appreciate my experiences with the AMTC staff, the regional directors, the casting directors, agents and other industry people that I have the opportunity to meet and get to know over the few days at each session I attend. In the last three years, I’ve signed a few AMTC actors as clients, and cast a couple in my productions— kids and adults. Some relationships have flourished, others have been more casually based; but I’m impressed with the general quality of the attending talent, and their potential to succeed in Los Angeles as professionals. Like with any networking event, you get back what you put into it. I believe my greatest contribution is in the honest and direct approach I offer, and the education and guidance I’m able to impart to those that come to my callbacks. In a few short days, I judge hundreds of young-to-old actors, beginners to to semi-pros. This can be exhausting, but also inspiring! I also find that with so many different personalities and people, the AMTC attendees can gain a range of information, ideas, opinions and suggestions on how to further their training and professions in the business of performance. It is a business, as well as a craft, and those that can take this info from the sessions, will grow and mature from it.

Lexy, I never got to write you to tell you what a great time I had at AMTC this December. It was really lovely. I already have had the chance to work with Lee Hughes and Crisla Miller since they have visited NYC. Both of them have auditioned for me for a Sonic commercial and I also got them both extra work on the TV show Life on Mars.
