“Best Male Hip Hop Artist of the Year!”

In 2007, T-REP won the award for “Best Male Hip Hop Artist of the Year!” T-REP is nominated again for the same award for the 2008 Youth Gospel Entertainment & Arts Awards.

The Youth Gospel Entertainment Awards’ vision is to serve as a platform to allow young gospel entertainers, designers, and dancers with an opportunity to showcase their gifts and to be recognized for them. Our mission is to reach and uplift youths by making a positive impact in their lives through entertainment and arts.

Due to the success of the 1st Annual Youth Gospel Entertainment & Arts Awards, this event has expanded to a weekend extravaganza. This extravaganza will include fashion, music, skating, as well as other forms of entertainment. Awards will be given to recipients who have made contributions to the community through their ministry. Categories for this year will include Steppers, Youth Choir, Praise Team, Holy Hip Hop Artists, Christian Rock, Producer of the Year, Gospel Reggae, Hip Hop Dancers, and many more.

In addition, the YGEA will honor five Youth Pastors with a special Visionary Award. This Visionary Award is awarded to Youth Pastors based on their current accomplishments and continued future efforts to make positive impacts in the lives of our youth in and outside the church.
This year’s event will be held on September 20, 2008, at the Atrium in Stone Mountain, GA from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Red carpet starts at 5:30. However, September 18 kicks off the weekend with the Youth Gospel Skate Crew Competition and September 19 with the Pre-Awards Concert.

It is our goal to serve as a mechanism to offer youth hope in fulfilling their dreams and aspirations. The Youth Gospel Entertainment & Arts Awards will exemplify the character of the ‘Most High’ and show youths that they are noticed, appreciated, and play a very important role in shaping the future.
