About AMTC

Actors, Models & Talent for Christ (AMTC), the company, is a bridge that connects performers who love God with the kings of entertainment. It is an event, an education, a coalition, and it is a strong arm of the Lord. It is a safety net to avoid the pitfalls of this world. It is a launching pad to become stars within it.

AMTC, the movement, is an army of artists who follow the great commission of Jesus Christ: to go out into the world, to be His light, and to represent Him as talent ambassadors.

The entertainment industry is the most influential mission field in the world. With a screen, button, or click, millions of people are reached. Their eyes, ears, hearts, and minds are flooded with words, images, and stories. Let these stories and stars be of the Lord.

AMTC, the performers, know that fame is a gift meant to inspire others. They do not seek fame for fame’s sake; they are stand-ins for Jesus. They carry His truth through the hope of their calling. They are beautiful, talented, cool, and diverse, They are children, teens, and adults called for a time such as this.

Actors, models and talent for Christ are performers who walk in love. They do not enter Hollywood to condemn it, but to example excellence. They seek to become positive role models, stars who are worthy to be followed—not for their own glory, but for the glory of the One they follow.

How does AMTC work?

For those who are chosen and accept the call, they enter the AMTC Bridge Training Program to prepare for the Event called SHINE. The training includes over 50 hours of education to get prepared, because success in the entertainment industry is about what you know and who you know. AMTC teaches you what you need to know, and puts you in front of who you need to know.

What is the Event?

SHINE, the event, is a six-day convention held twice a year at the amazing Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando. 2011 will be our 29th year in business. Performers come from all over the world to showcase their talent. Agents, Managers, and Casting Directors come from all over the world to see them.

Instead of traveling to Hollywood, New York, Chicago, Paris, Milan, or London to meet industry career makers, they come to us at the Gaylord—in one time and one place. AMTC is like no other company. It is a place for God’s performers to shine and walk through the right doors: doors that can make a difference, doors that can launch a career.

How did it start?

AMTC began over 28 years ago as the dream of New York Cover Girl, Millie Lewis, and her daughter, Carey Lewis Arban. Millie and Carey created AMTC to give new talent a positive, safe, and effective entry into national careers, building knowledge and self-esteem in the process.

Almost 4 years ago, the applauded event did something quite unusual: AMTC turned Christian. We became a publicly Christian company, following the conversion of our then 51-year-old leader, Carey. A respected company gained a new focus and realized its true destiny.

What’s covered in the Bridge Training Program?

Every hero in the Bible got prepared for his mission, for his destiny. Even the Son of God ‘grew in wisdom and in stature’ (Luke 2:52) before He began His ultimate job. Therefore, to help God’s performers grow in wisdom and stature, to become ‘ten times better’ (Daniel 1:20) than the common standards of Hollywood, is the goal of the AMTC Bridge Training Program.
