Why do models have to act?

There is no so thing as a top model who isn’t an amazing actress. Modeling is acting without words. Pay attention to movies and TV: much of acting is silent reactions and emotions. It is also crucial that you are able to interview well to be able to get an agent and then to book jobs.

That being said, AMTC recommends and teaches acting to all performers—even models. It increases the chances of success and broadens marketability.
