What type of training is involved, and does it cost extra?

If you receive a callback for AMTC, training and development begin right after registration. Once registered, you will gain access to our online curriculum, amtconline.com. You will receive a welcome call from our Help Desk and an email from our home office.

Next is a six-hour Orientation & Rehearsal where you will meet your team and receive coaching and advice from your Team Leader.

4-8 weeks after Orientation is the D.E.W. (Direct Education Weekend). The DEW is an intensive training experience for AMTC spanning 2 days. Coaches who specialize in acting, modeling, singing, grooming, marketing, and performance will get you ready to compete at a national level – to meet the Agents! Next is your Photo Session with an outstanding New York quality photographer and stylist.

Then comes your Dress Rehearsal.

In between classes, you will have homework, progress calls, and weekly newsletters.We feel that a participant’s best chance of success comes with being prepared: the right grooming, pictures, self-confidence, competition and interview skills! Suggested core curriculum includes Runway, Wardrobe Planning, Skin Care, Natural Makeup, Hair Styling, Nutrition, Posture, Self-Confidence Development, Photo Movement, Public Speaking, Interview Techniques, Commercial Print Modeling, Acting, TV Commercial Techniques, Scene Read, Cold Read, Monologues, Improv, On Camera Auditions, Singers – Performance Preparation, Dancers – Performance Preparation, and A Parent’s Role in this Industry.

At AMTC, we offer an over 25 workshops by authors, agents, and national experts in their fields.

All training – 30 hours of local coaching, amtconline.com, and 25 national workshops by industry leaders – is included in the AMTC fee.
