Frequently Asked Questions:

What type of training is involved, and does it cost extra?

Each AMTC participant receives training prior to the event, as well as telephone, Internet, and email support between classes. We have an entire on-line curriculum website called amtconline.com. Training costs are included in the AMTC price. We believe the AMTC pre-convention and on-site workshops are the equivalent of a a year in college or private school!

We feel that a participant’s best chance of success comes with being prepared: the right grooming, pictures, self-confidence, competition and interview skills! Suggested core curriculum includes Runway, Wardrobe Planning, Skin Care, Natural Makeup, Hair Styling, Nutrition, Posture, Self-Confidence Development, Photo Movement, Public Speaking, Interview Techniques, Commercial Print Modeling, Acting, TV Commercial Techniques, Scene Read, Cold Read, Monologues, Improv, On Camera Auditions, Singers – Performance Preparation, Dancers – Performance Preparation, and A Parent’s Role in this Industry. At AMTC, we offer an additional 20 workshops by authors, agents, and national experts in their fields.

Safety is of great importance to us, which is why we stress family involvement. We also pre-screen every Agent, Manager & Casting Director who comes to our conference.
