Frequently Asked Questions:

What about my child’s education? Will it suffer because of modeling or talent?

Excellent grades are expected. Every reputable agency will tell you that a good education is vital. In fact, AMTC insists that every participant in our SHINE event sign an “Ethics and Behavior” Agreement that states, among other things, “I will attempt to make good to excellent grades in school,” as this is standard in the talent industry.”

Most models and actors are high academic achievers. Unless a mitigating condition exists (such as a learning disability), we do not recommend any child or teen come to AMTC who has less than a “B” average in school. Many parents report a rise in grades after attending AMTC; the self-confidence AMTC nurtures as well as a more elevated “peer group” are two of the reasons!

Take a look at AMTC supermodel grad, Sonia Dara, who is now a student in Harvard.
