How shall the stars and star makers in film, TV, theatre, dance, fashion, or music be saved? How can they call on the name of Jesus when they do not know Him? When they have not heard of Him? When they have not seen Him? You are His body. You are His voice. You are the preacher!
What are we thinking when we hide our talent in the church? In the home? In the neighborhood? We are thinking of ourselves. We are staying safe. We are staying put. We are not walking and talking for God.
AMTC has a great commission. We are the senders; “And how shall they preach, except they be sent?” AMTC is a vehicle to get you where you need to go. AMTC is a teacher to make you industry ready. AMTC is a bridge to bring talent of God to the world.
And you? You are God’s beautiful feet, faces, and voices. You are His witness. You are His joy, talent, and light that will bring curious glances at every audition and every job. When someone asks, “What is the reason for the hope that is in you?” (Read 1 Peter 3:15) You have an answer. You have a great commission.

I absolutely believe in using our God given talent to reach others, so they may know there is hope, and that no matter what has happened in their lives, God is there always, and He loves them unconditionally.
I sing The National Anthem for a local junior hockey team (Alpena Icediggers), and I am so thankful God has given me such a gift to share. I wish I could support my family by singing, or acting, but with 4 children, I don't know where I would even begin, although it has always been my biggest dream. I pray if it's in His will for my life that doors will open, and if not, that there will be other opportunities to use the talents He has given me, and that others will see God through those talents.
