Too often we under-estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. – Dr. Felice Leonardo Buscaglia
At AMTC we believe that we must not only give back, but be mindful of others that are often forgotten in our limited vision and busy lives. AMTC had the privilege of serving at SafeHouse for the month of October. SafeHouse Outreach is an urban outreach based in Atlanta, that is committed to affecting real change in the lives of those in the margins of society, by providing a hand up, not just a hand out.
AMTC admin and grads served approximately 300 people of SafeHouse a good ol’ southern meal of juicy burgers, baked beans, potato salad and a chocolate dessert. Summer 10’ AMTC grad Lyndsay Ricketson sang her heart out and won the crowd’s heart when she sang the Motown classic “I Will Survive”. After Lyndsay performed, Adam (Director of Operations) opened the floor to one person who was bold enough to perform his special talent to everyone else. The people shouted “Go Big Fred, go!” and so he came… Big Fred. With his dreadlocked beard and powerful voice, Big Fred sang an original song about Heaven’s train. After Fred wooed the audience, AMTC coach and grad, Pastor Darrel Ervin gave a heart touching message that inspired and uplifted.
Note from Kim Turner, Co Outreach Coordinator
A whole hearted THANK YOU to those of you who participated in this life-changing outreach. The magnitude of the impact that you had on these people is immeasurable; it will forever be etched in their hearts, and God’s too. And to those of you who couldn’t make it but were on the sidelines praying and rooting for us – we missed you and we thank you for your support.
And I can’t end this without giving a shout out to Mary Fields, my co-outreach coordinator. I haven’t known anyone more devoted to the works of the Kingdom than Mary. She truly is a blessing to me. Gracias sister!
In His Service,
Kim

I have my first audition with AMTC tomorrow night in Birmingham, AL. I am absolutely scared to death. I have prayed over this with my husband as well as my church and we are in agreeance that this is God's will. That He led me to hear of AMTC.
That being said, I have read over this entire website. It is so pleasing to my heart and my soul to see a company I potentially could be a part of giving back. This all this life here on earth I feel was meant for. To care for one another. To go out there and to tell other what Christ has done for ourselves. Our blessings are not meant to be kept quiet. I share my blessings with everyone I come in contat with.
I am on fire for Christ. I pray this this will never cease. If more companies, corporations, organizations and man kind would follow thru with God's will and do His work, this world would be in a much better place.
Thank you for standing up for what's right. Thank you for giving back to this world and for leaving your mark on this world. I pray that regardless of the outcome of my audition, that God will continue bless and guide your journey. May peace and God be with you.
